Vs early morning Zi
Early morning Zi keeps that day’s day pillar. Night Zi crosses midnight, so the day pillar changes first. Without an hour there is no hour pillar—marriage, children, and luck cycles are not charted.
Why it matters
One hour changes the hour pillar and the start of luck cycles. If the clock time is unclear, ask family or check records before guessing.
